Welcome to Nature Behind Glass

Nature Behind Glass is a New Jersey terrarium studio focused on small-batch, handcrafted micro-ecosystems that blend botanical design with fine-detail artistry.

Step into the world of terrariums and let nature take center stage in your home. Whether it's creating your own design, purchasing one of our custom creations or joining our classes, we're here to help you bring the beauty of nature indoors.

Embrace your creativity and build something unique, just like the natural world around us. Let your story unfold within the glass walls of your very own terrarium.

We're not just creating terrariums, we're creating an experience that connects you to nature right from the heart of New Jersey.

My story

Like many people, I started building up my houseplant collection during the pandemic. But aside from terrestrial plants, I had been in love with the aquarium hobby starting with planted tanks and then venturing into the art of aquascaping. Terrariums became the natural intersection between aquatic and terrestrial plants.

By experimenting with different aquatic plants that are able to grow above water and combining them with the more traditional terrarium plants and mosses, I began to expand the “palette” with which I can build these wonderful displays of nature. And thus, Nature Behind Glass was born.

I look forward to meeting you soon.
